Orris Winds (formerly CATIL Quintet) is an emerging London-based wind ensemble formed in 2022 by alumni of The Guildhall School of Music. The group is driven by a shared passion for chamber music and accessibility, seeking to build a bridge between the music and the audience.
The group has performed at LSO St Luke’s, the Guildhall Music Festival and Eton College, and were semi-finalists in the Royal Overseas League competition in 2026. They are currently winners of the Tunnell Trust Award.
Their programme includes works by Jean Françaix, Thea Musgrave, Hindemith and Ravel.
“I’ve seen the CATIL Quintet perform a number of times now, and they never fail to create such an exciting atmosphere in the room” London concertgoer
