The Patron’s Concerts have been highlights of recent seasons. As well as being treated to recitals by Gina McCormack herself, with regular duo partner Nigel Clayton, we have also enjoyed a dazzling programme of piano duets, given by Nigel and Imma Setiadi, a former student of his at the Royal College of Music, where Nigel is Professor of Piano.
The concerts have also introduced our audience to some outstandingly talented young musicians, hand-picked for us by Gina, including cellist Madelyn Kowalski, violinist Michelle Dierx, pianist Maurizio Arroyo Reyes and saxophonist Lewis Banks, all of whom have since embarked on exciting musical careers.

Gina McCormack is one of the UK’s leading violinists, having held First Violin position with the renowned Sorrel, Maggini and Brodsky string quartets. She is also a highly respected teacher, having held posts at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal Northern College of Music. Music in Peebles is immensely proud that Gina agreed to become our Patron in 2018.
